What is this whole MOPS thing?

MOPS stands for 'Mothers of Preschoolers'.

What can you expect at our meetings?

  • A WARM WELCOME TO ALL WOMEN

We’ve all been placed in this time and place in history, as the tribe of women who are raising the world. And the beauty of it is that we don’t all have to agree with one another but everyone is in and we all need each other.

  • Practical Help

Need some inspiration? At every meeting there will be a speaker or video that gives practical tools and insight into the specific things that are important to you. We've all been placed in this time and place in history, as a tribe of women who are raising the world. The beauty of that is we don't all have to agree with one another but everyone is in and we all need each other.

  • Honest Conversations

Real talk is liberating. It frees us from assumptions that we are alone in our struggles. We value taking a risk and sharing your story in order to heal someone else from their isolation.

  • Creative Activities

Create, imagine, and actually finish a project. We occasionally like to have something “pinteresty” (Yes, that is a made up word. Work with us here.) to make at our meetings. We all need a little time to indulge in a creative endeavor.

  • Care for Your Kids

We call it MOPS Kids, and it is an excellent program staffed by trained teachers who will nurture your kids in a preschool-like environment. Childcare is available for children age one and older.

  • FOOD!

Imagine a place where you can eat your breakfast without having little fingers picking your carefully selected items off of your plate. Next, imagine a place where you can drink a hot cup of coffee, that hasn't been rewarmed in the microwave several times. This place exists and you'll enjoy this luxury during all of our meetings!

Want to learn more and attend a meeting?

DM MOPS generally meets every other Thursday from 9:30am to 11:30am from August through May. We meet at the Desert Dov Chapel on base (the same building as the nursery).

Check out our calendar for scheduled meeting dates.  MOPS Kids (childcare) will be provided on a space-available basis for those who register on through the MOPS Kids Registration Form.

We take break for the summer, but schedule playdates and other events as we can.
